Following the Mayoral election in June 2022, Watford Borough Council launched its new Council Plan which sets out an ambitious agenda for the town and the council. The Council Plan forms part of the organisation’s strategic framework, which aims to ensure that the council delivers on its commitments. Underpinning the Council Plan is a two-year Delivery Plan and our key corporate strategies, which are both supported by a suite of key performance indicators (KPIs). This allows the council to ensure that both projects, strategies and high-quality services continue to be delivered, and for action to be taken if areas of concern are identified. A critical part of this approach is regular reporting of the key elements of the council’s strategic framework and day to day performance.
