Your Council Tax bill shows you the annual Council Tax charge Council Tax and the band your property is in.
The total charge for Council Tax is based on the property's value on the 1 April 1991 as determined by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).

Based on the value of the property, it will be put into one of 8 price bands.
