Elections in Watford

Upcoming elections

Hertfordshire County Council Elections are taking place on Thursday 1 May 2025

Eligible electors will be voting for County Councillors in the following Watford Districts:

  • Central Watford and Oxhey
  • Meriden Tudor
  • Nascot Park
  • North Watford
  • West Watford
  • Woodside Stanborough

Poll cards will be issued between Friday 21 March – Wednesday 26 March. Electors are asked to check which polling station they should attend as it may have changed for this election.

Please take care when opening your poll card so that you do not damage it. You do not need to take your poll card with you to the polling station but it may speed up the process if you do.

A request for a By-Election has been received to fill the vacancies in both Watford Borough Council Wards of Oxhey and Holywell.

By-Elections in these wards will be held on 1 May 2025.

Electors in the By-Election wards will receive an additional poll card.

Please read postal voting instructions carefully and call the elections team immediately if you make a mistake. Do not destroy your papers as some mistakes can be corrected.

If you have not received your postal vote by Friday 25 April please contact us for a re-issue.
