Project details
The Resillience Recovery Relief Project aims to reduce serious violence and antisocial behaviour amoung young people aged 13-18 in Watford with a special focus on preventing knife crime. The project will combine therapeutic support, structured activities and family enagement to bring about change and will include online peer support therapy sessions, online support forums and 3 workshops for parents/carers.

Funding will support a cookery based project for people with dementia and their carers, offering ideas and support on diet and cooking skills helping carers to understand food choice changes that can occur for people with dementia. The project will initially be cookery based but over time aims to provide fun inclusive time where friendships are made. The project will be working in partnership with Watford Community Housing who will provide the community lounges and kitchen facilities within the Holywell area of Watford.

Cassiobury Park Hub Community Space Acoustic Enhancement is seeking to expand the use of the hub, the project would like to install sound absorbing panels to the walls and ceiling as well as new planters made from sound absorbing materials making the area more pleasant and inviting as well as improving the sound quality for both the education room, community use area and reducing the noise from the cafe area. The project also includes the purchase of moveable noise absorbing screens which can be set up for a variety of different bookings and uses.

Cricket Club
Project details
As well as providing an important sporting facility, the club is increasingly a popular social hub for local residents. This project will allow the club to progress with its plans to refurbish the pavilion, principally the redecoration of the clubhouse, including upgraded furnishings. The resulting increased usage will underpin the club’s development as a major centre for school-age and adult cricketers.
