Tickets are now officially on sale for the unique maze of 70 interlinked chambers, which gives visitors the opportunity to secure their place in this awe-inspiring event that promises to captivate the senses.
Colourscape - brought to you by Eye Music Trust and Watford Borough Council - has become a much-anticipated event on town’s cultural calendar, first being introduced to the town in 2021. The stimulating experience offers a unique fusion of art, music, and interactive installations, which is also great for special needs groups, encouraging sensory exploration and cognitive development.
Last year's edition witnessed unprecedented demand, as enthusiasts from near and far flocked to witness this remarkable spectacle. The event was a phenomenal success, with over 7,000 tickets sold, meaning the event was sold out!
This year, Colourscape promises an even more enchanting journey through a labyrinth of colour and light. Participants will wear cloaks of primary colours which alter as they move from space to space, and step into a mesmerizing world of ever-changing hues, where they can explore the immersive spaces, wander through ethereal tunnels, and let their imaginations soar.
Every twist and turn reveals a new sensory adventure, as the interplay of colour and sound transports visitors to a realm of pure enchantment. The event will also feature an array of captivating performances, with musicians and dancers creating a symphony of sound and movement within the vibrant spaces.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “We are thrilled to bring this awe-inspiring event back to Cassiobury Park, inviting families and friends to embark on a sensory adventure like no other. It is also great for those with sensory or other special educational needs and disabilities, so everyone can enjoy this fascinating experience.”
Eye Music, the Arts Council-funded organisation who run the event, said: “Colourscape is a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the limitless possibilities of art.
