The proposed improvements could include:
- Widening pavements
- Adding greenery
- Using better quality surface materials
- Improving cycle parking
- Introducing traffic calming measures to prioritise pedestrians
The improvements are part of our commitment to:
- boost the look and feel of shopping parades
- improve road safety
- deliver our 20-year Transforming Travel in Watford Strategy to change how we travel around the town
- Support local businesses
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “I’m really pleased we are making these improvements. By adding more greenery and making the area safer for people walking, this will become a more pleasant environment for everyone.”
