Watford Borough Council inviting local charities and organisations to apply for the Community Fund.
The fund aims to allocate up to £2,000 to initiatives and projects that prioritise support residents, especially in light of the challenges posed by the cost of living, as well as those seeking to organise community events.
Recognising the pressing need for aid in the face of rising living expenses, the Community Fund targets local charities and organisations dedicated to assisting residents in navigating the challenges of everyday life. This financial support is intended to enable them to continue their essential services and expand their outreach to benefit a larger segment of the community.
Moreover, the fund is also open to applications from groups or individuals interested in organising events that bring people together and celebrate the vibrant spirit of the Watford community. These events could range from cultural festivals to neighbourhood gatherings, all aimed at strengthening community bonds and promoting unity.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: "We understand the importance of a strong, supportive community, especially during challenging times. The Community Fund serves as a beacon of hope, providing financial support to those dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents and fostering a sense of unity among us all."
