Cassiobury Park will welcome a new café next spring, with EMA Catering Ltd taking on running both the café at the Hub and the refreshments at the splash pools.
EMA Catering is a new operator to Watford but has a strong track record in managing cafes in other parks. Watford Borough Council, which owns the Hub building, awarded the contract to run the café to EMA following an open and robust tender process, with the company demonstrating a strong commitment to providing a high quality, customer focused offer for park visitors. Plans are already underway for the launch of their new café next spring.
Elected Mayor. Peter Taylor said: “Cassiobury Park is one of Britain’s top 10 best loved parks, with millions of people visiting each year. Welcoming and good quality places to eat and drink are an important part of people’s enjoyment of Cassiobury and, with, EMA’s new offer joining the Café in the Park in the Tea Pavilion, from next spring there will be plenty of choice for people when they visit”.
Emine Mani, the director of EMA Catering said: “We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our newest venture in Cassiobury Park. We are aware of how important the park is to the people of Watford. We are so excited about providing delicious food alongside a strong inclusive community vibe. We are planning to open in spring 2024 and are looking forward to meeting and welcoming you all to our cafe”.
The current café, Daisy’s, will close on Monday 4 December but, before opening a full café service for visitors, EMA will shortly be setting up a small refreshment trailer, selling teas, coffees and snacks.
