Watford Borough Council intends to sell a parcel of land along the side of Croxley View, located in the Holywell Estate on the west side of Watford...
A plan outlining the area can be viewed below. The land in question is currently public open space, sitting between the Holywell Estate and Watford Business Park.
The transfer of the land will involve selling the council’s freehold interest to Watford Community Housing, facilitating the development of Croxley View Phase 3 for housing purposes. This will enable the building of around 65 new affordable homes for the benefit of Watford residents.
This follows the successful development of Phases 1 and 2 at Croxley View, which delivered a new temporary accommodation hostel, affordable homes, shared ownership homes, private homes and improved landscaping.
Croxley View Phase 3 encompasses new homes integrated within new landscaping together with interspersed car parking. Existing trees and habitats will be retained where possible and extended. There will also be provision for an upgraded cycleway and footpath.
