Local organisations across Watford recently came together at the town’s Community Network event (17 June) to collaborate, learn about council support initiatives, and celebrate the first anniversary of the Watford Community Lottery.

Hosted by Watford Borough Council, the event brought together representatives from various local charities and community groups. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore opportunities aimed at strengthening community services across Watford.

A significant portion of the event was dedicated to celebrating the first anniversary of the Watford Community Lottery. This initiative has been a vital source of funding for local causes, distributing over £30,000 to support community projects and services throughout the town.

Watford Swimming Club, which has benefited significantly from the lottery shared their success story. They detailed how the funding has enhanced their training programmes, supported more swimmers, and allowed for necessary equipment upgrades.
