The Elected Mayor and the Chairwoman of Watford are proud to announce the return of the Audentior Awards in February 2025...
This prestigious event provides an opportunity for the council to recognise and celebrate the outstanding dedication shown by organisations and individuals within the town.
The Audentior Awards highlight the exceptional contributions made by everyday heroes who positively impact the lives of others and achieve remarkable things for Watford. These awards are designed to honour those who go above and beyond in their commitment, dedication, energy, and effort to make Watford a better place to live and work.
The council invites all residents to participate by nominating individuals or groups who embody the spirit of excellence and community involvement.
The 2025 ceremony will showcase nine award categories, each designed to highlight the diverse ways in which people contribute to the borough. The categories for the 2025 Audentior Awards are:
- Carer of the Year
- Charity Worker of the Year
- Public Service Award (Sponsored by Murrills Construction)
- Pride in Watford (Sponsored by Veolia UK)
- Young Achiever Award
- Good Neighbour Award
- Contribution to Sport and Healthy Living (Sponsored by Everyone Active)
- Chairman's Culture Award (Sponsored by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden)
- Mayor's Award
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: "The 2025 Audentior Awards will recognise and celebrate the commitment, hard work, and achievements of local people and organisations who are actively making Watford a better place to live and work in. Nominations can be made for anyone who makes a difference to our borough, such as an individual who has gone that extra mile to help others around them, an everyday hero or an organisation or group that have helped local people or achieved something fantastic."
Chairwoman of Watford Borough Council, Cllr Dawn Allen-Williamson, said: “We believe in celebrating the extraordinary contributions of our residents. The Audentior Awards are a chance to recognise those who go above and beyond for our community. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to nominate the unsung heroes in your neighbourhood. Together, let’s shine a light on the remarkable people who make Watford a better place for all."
Nominations are now open and will remain so until 24 September 2024.
Residents of Watford are encouraged to put forward individuals or groups who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the community, whether through volunteer work, public service, or acts of kindness that embody the spirit of Watford.
