Watford Market will be full of spooktacular tricks, treats and scarily good street food on Friday 1 Nov, as ‘Market Lates’ returns for Halloween and it’s shaping up to be downright disturbingly fun..
Set reminder with Facebook Events
After the success of previous Halloween night market events organised by Watford Borough Council and Saunders Markets Ltd, frightening creatures of the night are invited to eat, drink and be scary at the fa-boo-lous ‘Halloween Market Lates’ event from 6pm to 10pm.
The Friday night spooktacular will reveal the haunting familiarity of boo-tiful street food set in the shadows of Watford’s historic town centre. Market visitors will be able to have a fang-tastic night with family-friendly entertainment, including live music from The Fillers at 6pm, the Razorz at 7:30pm, free facepainting (6pm – 8pm) and walk-through magician.
There will also be fun photo opportunities and your favourite spooky vendors offering devilish dishes and ghoulish delights that will really shake the webs off your broomsticks. The event will include a pop-up bar and the market’s popular food stalls rustling up delicacies to delight your taste buds, including Caribbean, Asian and Korean street food.
Doing Halloween weekend in suitably spooky style, Watford Market will be getting dressed up to the nines, with attendees encouraged to wear fancy dress, so the market can be overcome with ghosts, ghouls and all manner of spooky spirits, feasting on Halloween inspired food and listening to local musicians, all under festoon and decorations.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “The Halloween ‘Market Lates’ event is set to be a great evening for everyone. After the success of previous events, we’re excited to bring back this popular night, with great food, live entertainment, and a fun atmosphere for all. It’s a great opportunity to support local vendors and enjoy a family-friendly evening in the heart of the town."
