Apply for a parking bay suspension
Information if you need a permit to park a vehicle or skip in a permit bay, shared use bay, or pay and display bay outside your house.
Reasons to request a parking suspension:
- you need space for a skip, works or deliveries
- works on services such as gas, water, or electrical mains
- highways work, traffic lights or pedestrian walkway
You cannot ask for a suspension of:
- disabled parking bays
- loading bays
- parking on private roads
Vehicles parked in your reserved suspended bay can't be removed, but can be issued with a parking fine.
How to apply
Apply for a parking suspension
Applications take a minimum of 10 working days to process.
If you're a business based outside the parking zone, you'll need to open a non-resident account to apply.
Costs
£20 a vehicle length (5.25 metres) per day.
Please note: This payment is non-refundable in the event works are not completed or postponed.
A new application must be made and fee paid for each change.
