S106 Legal Agreements
The Town and Country Planning Act (1990) allows a Local Planning Authority to enter a legally-binding agreement or planning obligation with a landowner in association with the granting of planning permission. These agreements are a way of delivering or addressing matters that are necessary to make a development acceptable in planning terms.
They are used to support the provision of services and infrastructure and set out what financial contributions will be paid to the council or what non-financial obligations they are required to meet.
You can view most S106 agreements by using our CIL and S106 Database (PFM)
For information regarding compliance with obligations within a Section 106 Agreement, you need to make a request online.
