Planning fee information

Planning fees will be increasing on 1st April 2025 as per the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.

'The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits)(England) Regulations 2012' (as amended) including all amendments up to the end of 2024. The Consumer Price Index 12-month Rate for September 2024 of 1.7%.

If you withdraw a planning application, there is no entitlement for a refund of the planning fee.

If the application has not been reviewed by a planning officer, we may choose to provide a refund on request, however, this will incur an administration charges as follows:

  • Major applications - £200 (i.e. 10 or more dwellings or 1,000 sq m or more of floorpsace)
  • Minor applications - £75
  • Other (which includes householder applications) - £50
