Planning fee information
Planning fees will be increasing on 6th December 2023 as per the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.
The new fee changes remove the ‘free go’ exemption option on resubmissions for applications decided on or after 6th December 2023 (For example if your application was decided on 5th Dec 23 or before you can get a free go if your applications meets with the requirements, if your application was decided on 6th Dec 23 or after you are no longer entitled to a free go). Please see Part 2 regulation 8 of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 2023 (England).
If you withdraw a planning application, there is no entitlement for a refund of the planning fee.
If the application has not been reviewed by a planning officer, we may choose to provide a refund on request however this will incur an administration charge as follows:
- Major applications £200 (i.e. 10 or more dwellings or 1,000 sq m or more of floorspace)
- Minor applications £75
- Other (which includes householder applications) £50
