Fees Consultation
Notice is hereby given under Section 53 and 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 that Watford Borough Council proposes to vary the fees for the grant of hackney carriage and private hire vehicle licences, private hire operator licences, and dual hackney carriage and private hire only driver licences.
The reasons for the proposed increases are detailed in the report that was considered by the licensing committee on 12 January 2023 (PDF - 543kB).
The charges set out below will take effect on 1st April 2023 unless objections are made and are not withdrawn.

In accordance with Section 70 (3) (b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 copies of this notice may be inspected without payment during normal office hours until 17th February 2023 at our offices at Town Hall, Watford WD17 3EX.
Any objections to the proposed fees and charges should be made in writing and addressed to the Licensing Team, Housing and Wellbeing, Watford Borough Council, Town Hall, Watford WD17 3EX or by email no later than 17th February 2023.
Any objections received, if not withdrawn, will be considered by the Director of Partnerships in consultation with the Chair of Licensing Committee and the fees, with or without modification, shall come into force on 1st April 2023.
