Booking accredited vehicles
Please support the businesses who have gone the extra mile to keep you safe, by looking out for the mark on transport providers’ vehicles. You can book them via the travelWatford app, which is available on IOS and Android.
The app brings together all of Watford’s transport options and let people choose the best options for a given journey based on cost, waiting time and environmental impact. The accredited vehicles will appear at the top of the list with the confidence logo next to their business name.
Accredited drivers can be found on ranks as well as through the travel Watford app. If you would like to get accredited or complete the online training, please contact travelwithconfidence@watford.gov.uk.

New rules introduced on 23 September now mean that customers who can wear a face covering or mask must do so when using taxi or private hire services. Drivers are not legally required to wear a face coverings, but the Department for Transport and the council continue to advise that drivers should wear a face covering if possible when they are unable to maintain social distancing in passenger facing roles.
