Setting up a bank account in Watford
Watford has 18 banks including HSBC, NatWest, Halifax, Barclays and Metro all of which are located on the High St in the centre of town.
To open a bank account in the UK, guests will usually need to show:
- proof of ID such as passport, biometric residency permit, driver’s licence or recognised identity card.
- sometimes you might be asked for proof of address. This is not required by law to open a bank account and the UK government is currently working with the main banks to encourage them to drop it.
