Advice for complex and large developments (PPA)
If you're planning a large and complex development in Watford, you should use a planning performance agreement (PPA).
The agreement supports you throughout the planning application process and can identify any planning issues before they happen.
You can download more information on PPA agreements on the local.gov.uk website (PDF)
How a planning performance agreement supports you
It's a project management tool where you and the council work together to agree:
- structured timescales and deadlines
- what pre-application advice is needed
- potential planning issues before they happen
- major milestones
- how to engage the local community
- other matters (like s106 agreements)
How to apply for a planning performance agreement
To find out more about how a planning performance agreement can support your development, contact us today.
Email developmentcontrol@watford.gov.uk
After applying you'll receive a proposed fee and draft agreement based on your proposal.
Entering into a PPA does not guarantee you planning approval, and if the planning proposal is contrary to the council's adopted policies or national guidance, it will be recommended for refusal.
Watford 3D Model
