Document Submissions
After submitting your application form you will need to send us copies of the following documents to validate your application:
- Knowledge test pass certificates (both Routes and Additional Papers)
- Practical driving test pass certificate
- Satisfactory medical
The documents must be emailed to taxis@watford.gov.uk
Please note: the application form and all the supporting documents must be submitted at least 48 hours / 2 working days before your appointment. If you do not submit them in time your appointment will be cancelled and you will need to book a new one.
Timescales
The criminal records check can take up to eight weeks. You can only start working once we have granted you a licence.
Appeals
You have a right to appeal to the magistrates' court if your application is refused, or to appeal against any conditions being attached to a licence. Appeals must be submitted to the court in writing within 21 days of being notified of the decision.
